Mint Tea Julep

Mint Julep Mocktail: If you are avoiding alcohol but still want to enjoy a mint julep, add 2 ounces of black tea instead of bourbon or 2 ounces of ginger ale.

  • 6 mint leaves + extra for garnish
  • 2 tbsp coconut sugar
  • 1/4 cup filtered water
  • 1 sachet Pique mint herbal tea
  • 2 oz. bourbon
  • Crushed ice


  • Heat water and coconut sugar over medium low heat until steaming. Turn heat off and stir in mint tea crystals. Pour into a small jar and refrigerate until chilled.
  • Add mint leaves to a pint glass or martini shaker. Muddle. Add mint tea syrup and bourbon and stir. Strain over crushed ice and garnish with additional fresh mint.
