Sun Goddess Matcha Green Smoothie Main

This antioxidant-rich smoothie is the perfect refreshing beverage day or night to revitalize you.

Getting your daily dose of fruits and veggies can be a tough task. That’s why a quick smoothie is the ultimate way to load up on superfoods that balance the body. You can think of it as a jumpstart that’s both convenient and delicious. Possibly the best part of a smoothie is the peace of mind in knowing you’re reaping the benefits of the entire fruit or vegetable – including the healthy and filling fiber.

The trick to creating a smoothie that tastes great is balancing fruit and vegetables for a smooth, refreshing flavor. Pineapple offers sweet and tangy notes that complement the bitter flavor of kale and spinach. Banana and almond milk make the smoothie creamy without being too thick.

Tip: Frozen fruits like pineapple make this smoothie refreshingly cool without being watered down by ice. Frozen banana also works.

Sun Goddess Matcha Green Smoothie Ingredients

Matcha

Matcha tea is infused into this vibrant smoothie, offering up the amino acid L-theanine which can help to provide calm energy without the jitters of coffee. The result? A great de-stressing beverage to help you unwind rather than rev up.

Green Power

Kale and spinach are loaded with antioxidants like Quercetin and Kaempferol, combatting free radical damage in the body. These leafy greens are also high in iron.

Superfood Fruits

Pineapple is not only a source of vitamin-C but also contains bromelain– a natural anti-inflammatory enzyme.  Pineapple’s high vitamin-C also pulls double duty by increasing the absorption of iron from the kale and spinach. (1)

Banana is known for its high potassium, a mineral essential to heart health, but this fruit is also a source of folate, calcium, and magnesium.
