Here at Pique Tea, we love a great green tea latte. However, now that it’s getting so hot outside, we needed a different way to enjoy our favorite drink. That’s when we created this new Sencha Green Tea Latte Popsicle recipe! It’s essentially a frozen green tea latte on a stick and we are obsessed. Also, it is much healthier than buying ice cream at the store.
Instead of tons of sugar, we substituted honey for a natural alternative. Because raw honey contains bee pollen, it will help ward off sickness and boost your overall immunity. On top of that, raw honey is great for helping with everything from low energy to sleep problems to seasonal allergies.
We recommend using almond milk or Greek yogurt for added thickness, but definitely try experimenting with different nut milks to find which works best for you. Almond milk is low in saturated fatty acids, rich in unsaturated fatty acids and contain filling fiber so you can feel free to eat as many of these popsicles as you like. Depending on how strong you like your tea flavor, you can add more or less tea packet. We recommend starting with 2 packets but you can always adjust it to your liking.
These Sencha Green Tea Latte Popsicles are the perfect creamy ice treats to end every meal, especially on a hot day. It's a much healthier alternative to store-bought ice cream with all the benefits of tea.
- 2 cups unsweetened almond milk OR 2 cups nonfat Greek yogurt
- 2 packets Pique Sencha Green Tea Crystals
- 3 tbsp raw honey
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Popsicle molds
- Popsicle sticks
Whisk together all of the ingredients and pour into 4 popsicle molds. Place a stick in each mold and freeze for at least 4 hours.
When ready to serve, run the molds under hot water to loosen the popsicles.
