If you’re in need of a festive cocktail to celebrate a special occasion or ring in the new year, this fruity, tea-infused cocktail is sure to do the trick.
With just 4 ingredients, you don’t have to be a bartender to serve this elegant drink. Glistening pomegranate seeds and effervescent sparkling champagne make this a fancy-looking drink that is easy to make.
White peony tea contains powerful immune system supporting antioxidants. Since white tea isn’t oxidized as much as green or black tea, it is abundant in catechins. This type of antioxidant supports healthy cells and keeps them functioning at their most optimal.
Pomegranate is most commonly found during the winter months when it’s at its peak, but can be readily available throughout the year. Pomegranate and the jewel-like seeds it houses are perfect for adorning cocktails.
Pomegranate juice is naturally sweeter and more balanced in flavor than cranberry juice, making it a sure crowd pleaser. This fruit is also full of antioxidants to help protect against inflammation from free radical damage.
To add boozy flair to this cocktail, it’s topped with champagne or sparkling wine. For a sweeter cocktail, look for a sparkling Moscato or Riesling or champagne labeled demi-sec or doux. For less sweetness look for a champagne labeled brut or extra brut.
