Ginger Peach Rum Punch

This peach rum punch is the perfect summer libation to sip on during the hottest summer days. 

With aromatic ginger-peach tea crystals, peach purée and fresh-squeezed juice, this boozy beverage is a mix of indulgent meets healthy with vitamin-C and antioxidants. 

Fresh Squeezed

Citrus fruits are abundant during the summer months and they’re at the peak of freshness. So instead of grabbing the bottled variety, juice fresh oranges and limes to add to this drink for the best flavor. A hand held juicing tool is convenient and easy to use. Strain away seeds and pulp using a mesh strainer. 

Citrus fruits are rich sources of vitamin-C, known for its immune system supporting benefits. Vitamin-C is also great for helping boost the body’s defenses against free radical damage, keeping skin youthful and stimulating collagen production. 

Just Peachy

A double dose of peach flavor makes this cocktail perfect for summer. Ginger-peach tea crystals are made with English breakfast black tea, adding robust flavor and a kick of spicy ginger. Theaflavins provide prebiotic gut support that helps aid digestion. 

Frozen peaches are already peeled and sliced at the peak of ripeness making them perfect for turning into purée with minimal prep work. 

When it comes to choosing a rum for this cocktail, anything from traditional white rum or even spiced Caribbean rum will taste delicious. You can even use Brazilian cachaca which has a citrus, pineapple aroma with hints of butterscotch and vanilla. 

If you would like your punch rum-free, simply omit the rum and increase the tea mixture to ⅔ cup of hot water.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup thawed frozen peach slices
  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 1 sachet Pique Peach Ginger Tea
  • 2 tsp agave nectar
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 ounce rum
  • Crushed ice

Instructions

  • Dissolve tea crystals and agave in half cup of hot water. Pour into a jar or small pitcher and refrigerate for 30 minutes to chill.
  • Add thawed peaches to a small blender and blend until smooth. Transfer to the jar with tea. Stir in orange juice, lime juice and rum.
  • Pour over crushed ice and garnish with lime slice and/or flower.
