Chagacinno Recipe

If you’re trying to ditch caffeine but still enjoy the comforting flavor of a cappuccino, a Chaga mushroom “ccino” may be just what you’re looking for.

This awakening blend of Chaga mushrooms, burdock root, and ginseng combine with almond milk to create a sip-worthy drink that energizes the mind without the jitters of caffeine.

You won’t need any fancy coffee machines to create this frothy drink. A saucepan, whisk and a little bit of elbow grease create a frothy beverage in no time. You can also use a handheld milk frother or an immersion blender to froth. Almond milk works great for frothing, but coconut or hemp milk can also be used in a pinch.

Adaptogenics to the Rescue

You may be wondering how a drink without any caffeine can perk you up? The secret is in the burdock and ginseng root, both of which help fight fatigue and act as adaptogenics, along with Chaga to help you perform at your best under stress.

The best time to enjoy this chagaccino is in the morning or afternoon. If you want to enjoy a coffee-free cappuccino in the evening, try this same recipe with calming reishi mushroom tea instead. Reishi is the relaxing sister tea to chaga that helps soothe away stress.
