Honeydew Jasmine Granita

Chill out with this frozen honeydew granita, full of hydrating ingredients to keep you going during the dog days of summer!

This healthy granita uses the natural sweetness of ripe honeydew melon and coconut water refresh and delight. 

What also sets this drink apart is the addition of Jasmine Green Tea Crystals, adding depth with floral notes. Jasmine tea has a crisp flowery scent and aroma that pairs beautifully with the mellow honeydew and tangy lime flavors. If you’re not usually a green tea fan but want to reap its benefits, adding it to smoothies or slushies is the way to go rather than sipping it on its own.

The Jasmine Green in this drink will perk you up with focused energy thanks to caffeine and the amino acid l-theanine – known for its ability to provide calming energy that doesn’t leave you jittery. 

Hydrate Naturally 

Frozen honeydew melon is used instead of ice in this granita, for a cool drink that’s never watered down. Honeydew melon is a natural source of electrolytes, essential to have on hand during the hottest days when we tend to perspire the most. It also has a high water content which is a lot more enjoyable than guzzling plain old water. 

Like honeydew melon, coconut water is a natural source of electrolytes like sodium, potassium, and magnesium.

Ingredients
  • 1 ½ cups frozen cubes honeydew melon
  • 1/4 cup chilled coconut water
  • 2 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 1 sachet Pique Jasmine tea
  • 2-4 mint leaves
Instructions
  1. Combine ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into a glass and enjoy right away.
