Calming Lavender Reishi Latte

Relax and unwind with the soothing combination of real lavender and reishi tea for a sense of calm. This jitter-free latte is served over ice for a refreshing drink at any time of day.

If you want to enjoy the earthy flavor of coffee without the jitters, a switch to reishi tea is an ideal choice. It can be mixed with your favorite creamy milk and served hot or cold. 

What is Reishi?

Reishi Calm Elixir is made from therapeutic reishi mushrooms. These potent mushrooms are known as adaptogens, a group of plants that help promote homeostasis in the body by balancing hormones. Hormones are often affected by environmental stressors like chemicals and pollution but also from mental stress. Reishi mushrooms may help support an overall sense of well being and calm. 

This calming mushroom may also assist in a more restful night’s sleep. Since reishi is caffeine-free, enjoy it over ice or sip hot in the evening when you are trying to wind down. Don’t worry though, reishi is non-sedative and works to balance sleep cycles when taken regularly over time.

Lavender oils, extracts, and dried buds are widely used in aromatherapy to promote a sense of calm and help relax the mind. Its floral notes pair well with the earthy flavor of reishi for a drink that soothes the senses. The lavender buds are first steeped in hot water before the tea is mixed in. This adds a pop of lavender flavor and aroma throughout the latte. Due to the potent aroma of lavender buds, only a small amount is needed to reap the aromatherapy benefits. 

Raw honey adds to the soothing nature of this latte, adding just enough sweetness in its purest form without any heating. This means its vital health-promoting minerals and enzymes are intact. Raw honey contains compounds that may support healthy immune function with anti-viral properties.

Ingredients
  • 1 sachet Pique Reishi Calm Elixir
  • 1/2 cup filtered water
  • 1/2 tsp food grade dried lavender buds
  • 2/3 cup unsweetened coconut milk
  • 1 tbsp raw honey
Instructions
  1. Heat filtered water and lavender buds over medium heat in a saucepan. Bring to a low boil and reduce heat to a simmer. Simmer for 5 minutes. Strain water into a jar to remove lavender buds.

  2. Stir Reishi tea and honey into the water and cool to room temperature. Refrigerate for 30 minutes to 1 hour to chill the mixture. Pour over ice in a 16 oz. glass and top with coconut milk. Enjoy.
