The variety of color is indicative of the many antioxidants inside this citrus fruit. Anthocyanins are a particular type of antioxidant that are housed in blood oranges. These antioxidants may help support overall health by fighting free radical damage. Like traditional oranges, blood oranges are a rich source of immune-supporting vitamin-C.
