Unleash your inner bartender with this tea-infused cocktail that is chock-full of antioxidants without any processed additives!
Whiskey lovers can rejoice in this fruit and tea cocktail that lets bourbon do the heavy lifting. Subtle tart notes of blackberry and lime let the vanilla and oak flavors of bourbon stand out – while also creating a refreshing summertime cocktail! This libation is perfect for anyone looking to experiment with bourbon, without the punch of sipping it neat.
Looking for a booze-free drink? Simply omit the bourbon and add an extra packet of tea.
Seasonal summer fruit and herbs are ideal for using in cocktails. Basil grows rampant this time of year and offers balance to cocktails with its herby sweet anise aroma and flavor. If you’re not into the licorice flavor of basil, mint is equally tasty. The rich purple color of blackberries is an indication of their high antioxidant content.
Best of Both Worlds
Oolong tea is a blend of both green and black tea, making it an easy way to reap the polyphenol benefits of both teas. The flavor is mild and earthy floral notes. It’s great for using in cocktails with whiskey because the two flavors complement each other.
Healing Power of Honey
Raw honey is perfect for sweetening this cocktail with a flavor profile that complements bourbon. Honey is soothing to drink and can be found in an abundance of varieties; from creamy opaque to amber colored. The type of flowers that bees forage on impacts the flavor and appearance of honey. (2)
